About Me
Natasha Lyles is the mother of two boys both of whom have special needs. Her oldest son was four when he was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder and sensory integration. Later the diagnoses of AD/HD, LD, and dysgraphia was added to the mix. That special little boy is now twelve.
In an effort to help her son she absorbed all the information she could on mental illness, different therapies, community supports, and special education. She has had to help her son through many challenges and transitions.
She took an interest in special education law and found herself becoming a resource for many other parents of children with disabilities. This led to the development of Beautiful Minds Education Advocacy Services.
Mrs. Lyles also volunteers her time as the founder and president of Parents of Bipolar Children and as a support parent for Family Connection of South Carolina. In addition, she is also a member of organizations such as NAMI, Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation, and Learning Disabilities Association of America.
She also continues her education by attending several conferences and workshops to help further her knowledge. Some of the most recent are (but not limited to):
