Children with mental illness often struggle in school. Mental illness can affect a child’s ability to concentrate, make decisions, act rationally, and socialize effectively. Consistent, early, and appropriate intervention is the key to ensuring a child with special needs is a success at school.

I became passionate about special education advocacy through my own experiences of advocating for my son who is diagnosed with bipolar and ADHD. While mental illness is the primary focus of Beautiful Minds, I also advocate on behalf of children with other special needs.
